About Rebeka

Health is a big thing for me. There is nothing more frustrating than your own body or mind letting you down and stopping you from doing the things you want to do. I love life. I love experiencing as much as I can and travelling wherever I can, which is why Acupuncture and Massage are now part of my everyday. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has not only answered the questions that Western medicine couldn't, it has opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking and living.  Acupuncture and Massage undoubtedly changed my life and my personal experience is the driving force behind my passion to help others get the most out of theirs.

My Story
At 17 years old, an accident left me with lower back pain and a wonky posture. I tried many different treatments to try and help but it wasn't until I started having regular Traditional Thai Massage whilst traveling around South East Asia that I truly felt the benefit. I was sold.
After experiencing first hand the power of touch, I wanted to learn that gift myself and share it with other people. So when the time felt right some years later I began my Massage training. I have never looked back!

Not long after I began training I started with chronic fatigue, which I believed was the result of a recurrent health issue I had had since I was 15. Endless tests showed everything was normal, but I felt everything but normal. There was nothing more the Doctors could do.
A friend suggested I cut out wheat. Within days I started to feel less tired but the mist in my mind and the soreness in my eyes never cleared. Slowly, the tiredness came back and friends and family didn't know what to do with me. No one understood, most of all me.
Determined to find more answers and not just accept this life, I found a alternative nutritionalist who at last didn't think I was crazy. After a massive change in my diet life became clearer for the first time in years. I slept better, I had more energy and even lost some weight. The problem was, when I reintroduced the foods I cut out, I would start to feel heavy and lethargic again. I was destined for a life on chicken and broccoli.

Acupuncture was one of those things I had always wanted to study, but my path had taken me down a Sports Therapy route. After another day feeling the burn in my wrists and thumbs I knew I needed to make some changes to the way I treated my clients. I applied for an Acupuncture course straight away.

As the course went on it was like a light bulb moment for every word I listened to and read. I had completed underestimated the wealth of knowledge I was starting to learn. I had come into this to help my hands and prolong my career, but TCM was also giving me the answers to the root cause of my health problems. I new my life was going to change forever.

Finally getting to the bottom of my 'illness' I was able to use TCM Acupuncture to rebalance the deficiencies within my body that other treatments had failed to even recognise. My experience not only helped my body and mind to feel alive again, but has allowed me the absolute pleasure of sharing my passion for TCM and helping others who are also suffering with chronic and debilitating imbalances too.

When it comes to your health...Never stop trying to improve it. Don't ever settle for second best. Be the person you are meant to be. And never take it or life for granted.
